Another good article from MarketingSherpa (free until November 26, 2004 and for a few bucks afterwards). While it deals with fashion, the case study has lessons for any business. I'd also note the survey tool they use, Websurveyor, is way beyond the budget of millions of businesses. There are better and cheaper online alternatives for $20 to $30 USD/month.
