Blog Software Breakdown: A Comprehensive Feature Comparison

Asymptomatic, a weblog, has published a list of features for common non-hosted weblog software like Moveable Type, pMachine, and WordPress, among others. It's an excellent list although some of the features need to be updated (and will be).

While these tools are designed to publish weblogs, the best ones are full content management systems with version control, configurable editorial processes, and other features. It is worth bookmarking if you need to evaluate content management tools.

I found this through Webstractions, a weblog for webmasters. His post includes links that explain the context for publishing the software evaluation.
