I'm back. We went to Disney World for seven warm, sunny days with our kids. I thought that by last Saturday boredom would kick in and so I'd want to publish this weekly email newsletter. Obviously that did not happen! Instead I have a farmer tan, lots of great memories, hundreds of bug bites, and a longing to not be home here in cold wintry Connecticut...
Over the past two weeks, the item that caught my eye the most was Must Read Research on Search and Shopping (my full blog of this is below). It leads to a 30 page detailed report that has all sorts of useful ideas about how people search when they want to buy. The process maps to the real world, meatspace, in that people wander in search of information that builds their confidence. The report is worth registering in order to get it.
Other items worth calling your attention to: The Ad Banner's Comeback?, Complete Analysis of New Google AdSense Terms, Policies & FAQ, Fallacies Tutorial (for copywriters), The Perfect Host: Choosing a Web Hosting Service, In Search of the Deep Web, and How US Conservatives Use Language to Dominate Politics.
This week I also want to start a new feature in this newsletter, specifically, providing you with links to what I think are some of the best items that will appear on the site in the next week. I head to California early Tuesday morning and so, once again, I have blogged ahead of time most of the items that will appear. There's no guarantee that I'll be around a computer with internet access next Friday and Saturday so there may be another two week hiatus between email newsletters.
Thanks as always for reading! Let me know if I can be helpful to you.
Tim
