I don't know how I missed them but BraveNet Hit Counter Service looks like a good alternative to SiteMeter, another good free way to track your website statistics. In fact, the BraveNet site has a lot of free tools for websites, including email newsletters (double opt-in), weblogs, mini-polls, and the like.
