In the US, at least, today is Valentine's Day. My wife and I do mushy stuff (she gave me a card about snoring while I got her favorite Peanut Brittle from See's while in California last week) but we also include our kids. Maddie got a cute outfit for one of her American Girls while Tommy got the old Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots game. Ironically, my wife and I met when she needed footage of guys boxing. We've always felt boxing is an appropriate metaphor for marriage...
Posting to the website went slowly this week, at first because of jet lag then workload. I got home from California at 2 a.m. Monday morning and found most of the week hard to juggle work and posting. I did find a few stories but most of what I read online this week seemed canned. Usually I post Monday's entries, at least, on the Thursday or Friday before so I was behind all this week.
Probably the best news this week was pMachine ExpressionEngine CMS Released. This software looks like it is now (or will soon be) a real contender with Moveable Type. Equally important was MySQL Administrator Alpha Released, a visual software tool to administer MySQL databases, something Microsoft SQL databases have had for some time.
Thanks again for reading and visiting. I should be sharper by next Saturday... I did just now stumble on a terrific example of copywriting for this pig catapult so I take that as a good sign!
