I have been using and testing MindJet, a software tool that makes it easy to brainstorm and then turn the results into Microsoft Office, Project, and other file formats for implementation. For example, you can incorporate Outlook email and other files into the resulting map. It's moderately priced, $199 to $299 USD, and works very well. My plan is to use it to write a couple books this year but I probably also will use it with clients, as a way to organize projects. They have a 21 day free demo.
