"Jupiter Research and EmailLabs find that anti-spam legislation is not the greatest concern among permission e-mail marketers. In fact, 31% say that their biggest concerns for e-mail delivery stem from blacklists and potential recipients' spam filters, while only 8% cite potential legislation." From eMarketer (note that their content is free only a short while). Other concerns are bounces and email address changes (22%), inbox clutter and its effects on open rates (22%), obtaining accurate delivery statistics (8%). Steps email marketers employ or plan to employ are increasing or dedicating internal resources (27%), deploying ISP-specific strategies (24.5%), outsource email delivery (22%), switching technology service providers (13.5%), and switching to double opt-in subscription process (8%).
