"("Oh God! You've violated the professor statutes!" cried my wife when she heard this.) Imagine the scene: The Board meets in solemn session to consider the charges. They wear black cowls & muted academic robes. The charges are read. There is a long moment of disbelieving silence. Then the room breaks up, the members of the Board are rolling on the floor laughing, bent double, holding their sides, wheezing with laughter . . ." Having fought off a dozen or more incidents of comment spam on this website in the past week, I found this tale utterly amusing and cathartic. A story of one man taking the spam fight to the spammers. Gives new meaning to the phrase "poetic justice" since the author is poet Joseph Dueme. The story is from his weblog, Reading and Writing.
