Australia online ad assault starts to win some ground: "The online industry has emerged as one of the fastest growing advertising sectors this year, increasing its market share at the expense of metropolitan daily newspapers in the June half. Figures issued on Monday by the Commercial Economic Advisory Service of Australia (CEASA) show that the internet has a long way to go before it catches up with other advertising mediums in dollar terms. However, total online ad revenue grew 29 per cent to $99 million compared with the previous corresponding six months. That compares with about 6 per cent growth for total print advertising, 7.7 per cent for newspapers and 7.2 per cent for television. Online classified advertising was particularly strong, jumping over $10 million, or 38 per cent, to $38.6 million." From Sydney Morning Herald. Found through Up2Speed.
