A Glossary of Rhetorical Terms with Examples

While searching the internet for figures of speech (e.g., “cat got your tongue”) for a homework assignment for our first grader, I happened upon an excellent glossary of rhetorical terms with examples, from irony to antistrophe to zeugma. Always useful to have around when you’re rewriting anything. It not only punches up your writing but it also reverbs well in your reader because they’ve been trained to hear them. From the University of Kentucky.
