Next Steps for eMarketing: Moving Beyond eMail: "Marketers latched on to the capabilities of eMail as an inexpensive marketing channel to supplement direct mail. In addition to lowered costs, eMail removes a large barrier inherent to traditional direct mail by allowing the marketer to immediately close the purchase transaction by embedding a call-to-action URL in the eMail message.
