Creating User Friendly URLs

Posted by TimSlavin at May 6, 2003

Zend has a great tutorial on creating user friendly URLs with PHP and Apache. While it is an esoteric subject, user friendly urls (ones that humans can read and understand) are more efficient than URLs like yourcompany.com/index.php?type=article&id=335&mode=print. Site visitors rarely want or need that kind of complexity when they type or use a URL. Nor is it required in many cases.
