“Heather McLeod Grant had a 1 p.m. conference call and a 4-year-old daughter who was home from preschool for the day but would not nap. As the call began, she could hear Somerset stirring in her room. Then she heard jumping. Finally a little head peeked in the door and grinned. “Mommy, I not sleeping,” Somerset said.
That did it. Grant finished the call, gathered up Somerset, and headed over to Cubes & Crayons, a new Menlo Park business that offers a unique combination of drop-in work space and child care.”
From SFGate.com, the San Francisco Chronicle’s website. They did an earlier article on co-working which could be very useful for web designers. In this case, the idea has evolved to include child care. Anyone with kids understands the value proposition here.
