“In the world of spam, where valid e-mail addresses are as good as gold, a group of spammers apparently struck the mother lode at America Online.
The day after a former AOL engineer was arrested on charges of stealing 92 million e-mail addresses that ended up in the hands of spammers, AOL customers fretted about their names circulating in cyberspace’s netherworld, and more spammers were scrambling to get the coveted list.”
